That was how I used to choose my passwords @MrTwingo although some sites stipulate what is needed and sometimes characters or numbers aren’t allowed.  Nowadays I generally let my iPad or Mac choose and save them for me.

Sorry everyone - all this excitement happened without me - only just seen it. Whatever it was - I'm glad it has been sorted now.

@Iminei, @Missie who apparently had become a man posted a dodgy link. Obviously her account had been compromised.

@Iminei I was kinda curious as to her suggestions on buying crypto. Now we'll never know.

Poor Missie is going to be appalled when she discovers this.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

Another tip on dreaming up passwords is to use, eg, a memorable poem or quote to help you remember.  So, to use a random example, take the first letters of the words in:

Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son of York

That becomes :

nitwoodmgsbtsoy

Switch in some capital letters and top-row characters and you get

n!Tw0OdmG$bT5oY

Hmmm.

Quote
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
      And the mome raths outgrabe

I'm thinking too memorable and I'll never remember any of it. Poor old addled brain.
Hey Bill! Read the manual!  Hehehe.

@Renegade Sewist that's one I always remember too - at the expense of more useful stuff!

Crumbs, what excitement and I've no  idea what it was about.  Thanks all.  No idea how I got hacked as my password was used only for this site and not an obvious one at all!

It's a relief that you didn't have wider problems to deal with, @Missie
