Good going @SewRuthieSews  :thumb:

I've squeezed enough for a narrow border out of the last little length of the Bg colour. The strips have been joined so I just need to attach them.
After that it's sandwich, quilt, bind. I have a deadline of end of April so it can be on the guest bed for my first visitor this year  :D

My top is assembled, I have wadding and backing as well as some special fabric for the binding. All I  have to do is find the time (and space) to do the rest.

:ninja:  @Iminei needs a little nudge, hers isn't completed you know   :ninja:

Gosh, 7 months on and I'm finally 99% done  :faints:

Just some more ends to sew in and a bit more quilting where there are noticeable gaps.

Wow @Flobear that's great.

I still have all my fabrics put to one side but garment sewing has taken over! Let's carry on with this sewalong to see if I can finish mine too.

I probably should make the blocks for my Sparkling Stars Quilt before I get into the scrappy quilt
As a lightsider garment sewing seems to win most of the time.....

recap on my Sparkling Stars quilt progress.

So far I have made the Blocks for Ruby, Emerald and Amethyst.
Then at some point I went through my fabrics and chose (and labelled) the fabrics for the other blocks.

I have decided that I will make the Citrine star blocks next. I need 5 blocks....

(thought I'd better finish the blocks for the Sparkling Stars quilt before I dive into the Scrappy Quilt Sewalong!)

Citrine Star progress -  I've now cut out the yellow pieces. Tomorrow I shall cut out the background pieces and get sewing...

Yes @Iminei, it's finished and on the guest bed. It is the first post in my 2024 diary.

I may add some more straight lines when I feel so inclined, or I may not.

Your potential sewing room is a Good Thing and I hope to inspect it in due course  ;)  Mr Bear and I have booked a few days in Dorset as I wish to go to the Wimborne Folk Festival on Saturday 8th June.

eta Snap! @SewRuthieSews

PS how do you turn a line of https gobbledygook into a neat linky, please?

like this @Flobear  ....

1 ... Describe what the Gobbledegook links to ... I chose ... Flos Diary

2 .... Copy the GG from the address bar (??) of the page you want to link to

3 .... Click on icon 2nd line down, 2nd icon in, under Italic (looks like the world and a bit of paper)

4 .... Paste GG into box that pops up

5 .... Press OK and Voilá ...

Imi if that is a photo of your new sewing room then that is lovely I sort of recognise the quilt hanging above the desk/table at the end.    You won't know yourself having a dedicated place to sew and of course it will keep everything away from curious paws.

and of course it will keep everything away from curious paws.

You would think that wouldnt you ???

It is the embryo of a SR as you can see its beautifully clear and tidy(ish ... theres never actually tidy in Imiworld ) because everything of matter ie fabric, thread, stash is in the other room waiting to get sorted.

First I need some track lighting otherwise I will be sewing in my shadow.

The Quilt is Veges from 2018.
