Surely an oven glove is a kitchen accessory?  I think it should be allowed, but await the Grown Ups' ruling  :)

Oven Gloves are definitely an accessory so I vote YES !

The only problem I have is that I overpurchased and have sufficient fabric for another four!

Why not sell them or give them to the men in your family .. Men keep the carrier bag industry in business

A kitchen accessory, so as YES from me too.
My OH always has a carrier in his pocket. I never have one and am always buying them  :embarrassed:

Well if a sleep mask is an accessory then an oven mitt definitely is! And it requires more sewing.
As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."

Well, thanks for that reassurance, ladies. Now all I have to do is find the wadding which seems to have done a disappearing act

I need a new wash bag for taking away with us when we visit DD, exotic holidays etc ( Porthmadoc was the most recent jaunt), I'd seen a pattern but it wasn't exactly as I fancied so decided to experiment  :ninja:  Well so far it's turning out quite well, so well that I might make a matching makeup bag to keep it company. If it doesn't appear as an entry to this comp. please assume that something disastrous has happened to it.

Kad's entry - wash bag and matching makeup bag

As I'm still working my way through the stash fabrics donated by a friend who is no longer able to sew I've created a matching makeup and wash bag set all from the stash.

I saw a pattern (Wide Open 2 by Made by Annie) and decided not to spend £11.99, surely it couldn't be so difficult to do something similar-ish.
Both bags are made of patchwork fabric with fusible fleece as wadding and have a zip closure.

this is the makeup bag and the design notes that I jotted down .

The wash bag is of similar construction but has a zipped plastic pocket inside for toothbrush etc. the rotary cutter is just there to indicate the presence of a pocket

This is my first time venturing into the sewalong board this year… I haven’t been very active here for a long time.

Will my hand painted silk scarves qualify for this challenge? Some of them are pre-hemmed but some I’ll have to hem myself.
And full disclosure, I’m painting them with the intention to sell (though I might keep my favourites  0_0)

Hi @elisep I said in the rules to 'craft' an item, so silk painting would be permitted. We don't have a rule about selling our items, so I guess that's OK too. Looking forward to seeing what you do.

Toileandtrouble's Entry

Sports bag for my 18" doll. Pattern from Doll Tag Clothing

Sides are made from curtain offcuts, the handles are herringbone tape and the net pocket is cut from an old laundry bag.

I did try to use red PLU for the base section but it stretched too much and had to be removed and replaced with more of the top fabric.
Overall, it was fun to make and I have (so far) kept my intention of making something for each section.  There was going to be more, to put inside but I will not be able to sew until next month now.
