I’ve finally sewn together my animal quilt. Decided on a scrappy striped border to use up some of my scrap mountain. I now need to decide on the backing colour. I have pink,pale blue and teal fleece in the drawer, but of course I don’t think they’ll do. It has to be a gender neutral colour as the baby it’s for is not yet born. Think I’ll have to go for lemon, with grey binding.

Animal quilt finished and still two months until the baby recipient is due
Found perfect elephant fleece for the back , but despite my best efforts , the backing was not quite square to front, so we have some disappearing elephants! I’ll put the label in that top right corner to try to hide it.

The elephants were inspired by Pinecone Hill Quilts on Etsy, the other animals inspired by Cottage Patchwork.
