That's initially What I thought @Lowena and what I began to do but it doesn't work.
So will put pieces for half a block pinned together and see how it goes.

Not frustrated about it yet!

Finished all the cutting,  taken days.  Now to decide how it will fit together..

I  did have a thought about getting Littlies and parents working it out next weekend but there could well be other things of greater interest

As you can see no block is the same

Yes the colours are fantastic, but I am surprised to hear that there are problems with the quality of the fabric. Surely if you are going to put your name to a range of quilting cotton you would want it to be top quality.

The fabric is 'soft' it but I now have the hang of handling it.
It does fray easily and am pleased I didn't wash first

KF's fabric is always soft and floppy but the colours are amazing

1/2 quilt is constructed.

When I have made the other half I will quilt etc and then join.  Easier on machine and shoulders

Those colours are wonderful - so rich.  I made one of his quilts but sourced my own fabric and it was a true nightmare as so many tones and shades were needed. I thought it would be fun and it was for the first few hours in the quilt shop. WOuld be impossible now - no decent quilt shops here - the most they have is generally about 40 fabrics. Although you might have been fighting it, you'll have a gorgeous quilt to show at the end!

Yesterday I had an unpick session.
Instead of sewing all lines of blocks from left to right I sewed a row from right to left.. you would think it wouldn't matter with such bright fabric patterns but it did.

Now unpicked and resewn left to right

The actual quilting is always my downfall.  I have spent more time unpicking than quilting.
It's my memory.  When I looked at a row of stitching it was very uneven then i remembered that the walking foot had broken,  son had mended it so I could finish previous quilting but it was hop, skips and jumping.  Then realised that I the sorting out for SR I had found a new one.  No idea where I've put it l

Feeling fed up.
