This might look familiar - I was thinking of using it in a 2020 comp but guess what? Maybe a kimono-y/duster type jacket? It's one of my favourite colours.

Ok I am going to say this and then just shut up!
I have two items in queue for the capsule wardrobe that are stash busting but are also the correct colours for this Pantene contest.  If participating in three, I repeat three sewalong/competitions doesn't get them done I have no hope for the future.
The bold highlights are so that I notice this each time I go on this thread in future

So it's done, now comes the hard part of putting on the pix. OK so that's the fabric - a cotton seersucker and SA blouse shirt thingy. I used the floral to make a back neck facing as I don't like facings that get stitched into the shoulder and then you have to faff with the back neck finish. I was going to use same floral as a cuff placket but I chickened out.

As I said the back neck facing was added by me as I don't like their finishing method and I topstitched the facing down to make a feature of it.

 OK so the frill on the collar would be better with a single thickness and as I had to increase the gathers to go round the curve it was a bit bulky and needed much trimming.

 I'm not keen on elastic cuffs either so I made a placket and a button shirt cuff.  I also reduced the length of the pattern by 10 centimetres as it is drafted for giraffes. 

Buttons are some recycled ones from mum's box - don't all match but  that doesn't bother me - the cuff ones are different.

I like this and will make it again without the collar and maybe sleeveless.

That's lovely @Catllar - and I applaud your pattern matching on the front edge of the frill/collar.  Outstanding!!
