Oh these little ones wanting to sew are so cute let us hope it lasts.  Cheesecake don't forget about Helen Howes who specialises in parts of all sorts for old machines, you probably could get the necessary needles and  anything else i.e. bobbins/shuttle if necessary and then that would bring the old Jones machine back into use.

I do have everything for the Jones (I have 2 of those) @Elnnina , I just would rather leave it un set up for now since have this one available for her.

@Sheilago that looks lovely, really lovely fabric! I might do something like that with my wee one once she's a bit more sure of things.  She's 4 now so not the most interested in following instructions she isn't interested in.

We made a simple gathered skirt today, less actual sewing by her but when she did do a bit she even did the stopping and removing pins and things (the cushion was made without bothering with pins), She also helped draw out cut lines and stitch lines (ish) with the tailors chalk.  Just wish she didn't think following the drawn lines boring! I can't stop helicoptering over her and straightening the fabric feeding through when get chance despite getting told to go sit on sofa and leave her alone.
