Thank you everyone, I have to admit I did have a little celebration (consisting of me and the dog) the first time it sewed properly.
WildAtlanticWay I took it on a whim really. It’s the first restoration I have done, It was being sold for the grand price of £35 and was only a few miles away from home. I thought that it would be a good way to learn about the machines so I could do any future repairs on the others I have. As it was so cheap and rusted I thought that if I mess up then I haven’t really lost anything but I could gain a really lovely addition to the collection. My husbands always pretty busy so it was my learning project while he’s working.
I have singers 99, two 128k,28,27,15k,66k,201k,12k,13k and a 221k.

Reading the list at the bottom of your posts, @Hannah Violet, I would say you've got the makings of a substantial choir of Singers   ;)

Fantastic job, it looks beautiful. Also gives me hope for the 28k handcrank rusting in my parents garage that I have as a project for the winter

I must add my congratulations to your beautiful restoration, the roses in particular especially on the machine itself - now how did  you do that as from the original photo they were not roses, yes Singer did do roses on some machines.  As for the wooden treadle tabletop  those roses are inspirational - well done.

The roses on the machine are waterslide decals, I bought them from someone in Australia who makes replicas for restoration jobs. It originally had the Rococo decals which I wanted to put back on but I couldn’t find anyone who was selling them.
