Where do you get ideas for what clothing to sew and wear?

What to wear -
- I know which silhouettes/lines I like to wear with with my bodyshape
- I wear tops + trousers more than anything else
- avoid loose, billowy, oversized or shapeless styles because I am short and they overwhelm my proportions
- I know which colours work well for me & why and also my favourites.
- I know which fabrics I prefer, types, texture and pattern  (no chunky for me and no ditsy florals)


Ideas about which items to make come from all over -
- Pinterest for interesting details to incorporate into a  version of a TNT pattern.
- trawling internet sites when looking for different examples of something.
-  Some blogs, a couple of You Tube channels & Pattern Review sometimes.  Often what I see about a pattern or a garment on a real body will make me step back from buying or using it.
- discussions with my sewing friends gives me ideas too.
- now and again, my imagination.
