Real ale 1
This is more a wearable try out rather than the final perfection i will attain with my next one
It's Jalie Alex 3907
The fabric was only £4.99 pm and it was 190cms wide so with the zip I probably made this for a tenner.
Next time I will make the collar narrower and will add cuffs to the sleeves.

(The photo is not the best but I've been wearing this non stop since I made it and I can attest it really is warm and cosy!!)
So many beers, so little time.

Realale 2

I made another McCalls 8240. This is turning into a real TNT for me. I used the same fabric as the Jalie top and a remnant of quilting cotton with teddy bears on for the neck band and buttonhole placket.
So many beers, so little time.

Apologies @Flobear, I thought I had posted this at the time I finished it. I hope it is OK to add it now

SewRuthieSews Entry
Black wool coat with faux fur collar and satin lining.
Simplicity 4003 View B with 6 inches added to the length.
The buttons, lining and fabric came from my stash. The wool fabric was leftover from an unlined jacket I made for SWAP 2009. I did need to buy shoulder pads and fray check. The sleeve heads were made with a scrap of batting leftover from my Rainbow Quilt.

Of course @SewRuthieSews. It's only Leap Leap day and not really March  :D

May I apologise for the delay in posting the voting thread.

There are 14 entries which is great  but it's taking longer than I thought to post them all. I intended to start assembling yesterday but a day out to Hereford put paid to that - I even dozed off during The Apprentice such was the strain on the credit card!

Well, I am now officially Warm and Cosy.  Cut out on Feb 24th and finished on March 15th.   Only 3 weeks, just a pity it was not done in time to enter. Still, feels good.

In the interests of waste management, I also made this:

She is very pleased with it. But now needs slippers!
Note also the draught excluder behind her - stuffed with scraps from cutting out and trimming on the overlocker.  It also kept the pink fluff down in the room.  I have cleaned out the machines and swept the floor, not sorry to see the end of the fluff!

Lovely dressing gowns for you and the doll @toileandtrouble . Also super impressed that the scraps have all gone into a draught excluder!
