Great @Ouryve

I've found a couple more fitting guides which might be helpful, sometimes a different way of describing something produces a lightbulb moment

I hadn't seen the first one before either. That's brilliant. Thanks @SewRuthieSews.

I still haven't decided on a jeans pattern  ::thinks:: I need to start thinking or I'll be way behind everyone else.  :h2o:

No rush, @Lemon Syllabub - we are sewing along in a very loose sense of the word!

Ok I think I’m going to join in too, I have wanted to try to make some jeans so here goes.  It might well be a disaster!

I think I'm going to make these jeans as a first pair.

My finished jeans are going to be 'gardening jeans' so even if they don't turn out perfect I'll still wear them!

They are nice, @Lemon Syllabub - I do like merchant &. Mills patterns.

@Lemon Syllabub i thought of them too they look nice but I have decided on the Morgan jeans from Closet Core, they are also non stretch.  I am hoping to put in a zip fly rather than buttons, no time for buttons when I need the loo!

@Ouryve Yes, Merchant and Mills patterns always look very practical. I'm hoping to make a real 'workwear' pair of jeans. I found this review on these jeans and they look great for gardening. Fingers crossed.  :thumb:

@Cazlyn The Morgan jeans look really nice too.

@Cazlyn I find Croft Mill is often good for denim.  I think their stock rotates (end of line stuff so when it's gone, it's gone) so I always have a look there when I want fabric and I've had some really good stuff.
Life's too short for ironing.

Just ordered all the ingredients for my jeans, I hope they work, I could have bought a ready to wear pair or two for the price! 🙃

Not as satisfyingnor absorbing as making your own though, @Cazlyn

I've been busy so not had chance to look at mine.
