An old story, but did anyone get involved with this?

I have been gifted some fabric, and needed to say 'thank you' and say how I might use it - by letter.
I was researching blocks, and found a link to this amazing project. Perhaps everyone was aware of it at the time, but did anyone get involved?

Singers - 28K, 66K, 99K, 201K - all manual. Singers 221K (2 of 'em), 319K and 401G - electric. Bernina 730 Record, Elna Grasshopper, Husqvana 5220, Grain chainstitch toy machine, most of a Guhl & Harbeck chain stitch machine called Lyra. That's all!  :)

Oh, I like that idea. No. I didn't know anything about that at the time.

I got involved in the quilts4london project...to help make 14,700 pennants! to be handed out to all the competitors in the London olympics.
I enjoyed making some for that. I think that's probably where I really began to understand and enjoy patchwork and quilting.

This looks familiar, I think I saw this a while ago but no I didn't do anything about it. Some nice squares to make into a larger project.
