Thanks everyone for your nice comments. They are much appreciated, as I tend to lack confidence. I had a go at the chinese lantern, which was ok but not perfect and I hated the colour I did it in, so I'm going to do it again in something more pleasing. I fancy making it bigger as well.    Here's to us all.

I decided to make 4 so as to turn it into something useful. Unfortunately I messed up on the cutting of one of them and had to use a different fabric. ........  I decided to check the potential of the block to be a scrappy quilt.

Gorgeous quilt Iminei, but what a marathon it was! I don't think my machine would take that much bulk in the harp. Pity it couldn't be QAYG.

Enjoyed looking through the progress pics of your opus Iminei! I love those fabrics together (I think I've got fq's of them both in my stash )  and the quilting is just a perfect compliment to the block. Is it hand quited or a machine stitch that is made to look like hand?

Why hasn't my block gone into the BOM HOF? Do I have to have done all the previous ones? Wasn't mine good enough? Do I need to have been initiated into the core elite?
