My favourite machine is a straight stitch that's older than me, when you learn how much you can make with it, I'm fairly sure you'll fall in love with it 👍❤️

My go-to machine for all the repairs and odd jobs that need doing is the oldest of my vintage machines.  I also use it for quilting because if I clear the table it has the most space around it.  I only use the less ancient Husqvarna when I really need the zig-zag.  But, for the stretch fabrics it's the modern overlocker and coverstitcher.
Brenda.  My machines are: Caroline a Singer 201K-3 born 1940, Thirza a Featherweight 221K born 1949, Azilia a Singer 201K born 1957 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

Hi Emerion!
the old Singers are great - look after them and they'll outlast us all, all they need is oiling and defluffing from time to time.

Welcome to the TSP Im not a great sewist (I'm not a sewer... ;)  )  so I'm always here for help :)
A bit of a vintage sewing machine nut! Singers: 500a, 401g, 48k Elnas: lotus SP & grasshopper, Bernina 530-2 F+R 504, Pfaff 30, Cresta T-132
