I've never bought any as I didn't know what it's like. Sorry that doesn't help you @Silver Rose but I'm curious how you get on

You don't needs bags. You just buy an EXTRA piece at the end, big enough to knot, Dick Whittinton style, around your purchases.  :wool: :fabric: :vintage: :snip: :pin: :thread:
You're a dangerous woman  ;)

In the wardrobe / Re: Heeelllllllppppp!!!!! Advice needed.

Why not wear the bird top with your black skirt....I doubt anybody would even mention or ask you about it. What does it really matter anyway, I pair things together that probably a lot of people wouldn't even wear in their own home, I consider it slight eccentricity. If I do catch anybody looking I just look right back at them, it's amusing.

Years ago I once - only once - left for work one morning in a black shoe and a navy blue shoe, I had an identical pair to match up with black skirt and tights or navy skirt and tights. It was in winter so was dark when I was getting dressed and I didn't notice until it got lighter. Nobody said a word but I was mortified, I was about 20, see how you relax with the advancing years  :)

@b15erk it looks ok to me - some would say to take no notice of that! - unless it looks worse on you than the hanger? I would be happy with that   :loveit:

Fun with Fabric / Re: Dye help please
« on: March 16, 2019, 12:46:34 PM »
@jintie you could try a dye remover or colour run remover, no idea how it will turn out I've never done it. Probably best to give it a good wash, hot as it can take, maybe a squirt of bleach? Sorry, all ifs and buts, just got to risk something radical  :o

In the wardrobe / My snazzy new frock
« on: March 14, 2019, 14:56:25 PM »
A short while ago, my oldest most creative friend gave me an article from her newspaper showing outfits by a designer - can't remember - who had conjured up dresses using two different fabrics. We both liked. I really liked. So here's my version.

I have a pair of slouchy trousers made up in the grey polyester 'triangles' print, and plenty of the cotton lawn left over. More trousers?  ><

I appreciate it won't be to everybody's taste but, just like the sassy lady in the Jaguar, I don't always do popular choices.   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Would anyone under the age of 140 ever wear a pussybow????
Does anyone know any 139 year olds to ask?

I'm a great deal under that age and I quite like them  :D
