I'm sure this has been asked before but how do I send a Word document in a private message to another member?

I found one at a farm sale auction last year but sadly my bid wasn't successful.

I have a Patternmaker which I bought from Morplan and I find it very useful not just for curves as I can mark bias on it as well.

Technical Help / Re: Sleeve confusion
« on: June 20, 2020, 13:08:26 PM »
@snoozi soozi
I've managed to find details but can't work out how to send it to you as there doesn't seem to be anything that will allow me to send it as a document through TSP.  I could post it or try to send it in an email.

Also I found details on YouTube by Clothing Patterns 101 which shows this method.

Technical Help / Re: Sleeve confusion
« on: June 20, 2020, 12:44:49 PM »
I always use the Ann Ladbury method which doesn't involve gathering the sleeve head but uses masses of pins.  I will try to find details and let you have them if I can work out how to scan and send.

In the wardrobe / Re: Skirt fit
« on: June 18, 2020, 12:42:19 PM »
I alter the grain line so that it falls down the centre of each panel and this gives a better fit and the skirt will hang better.  Sandra Betzina has a good tutorial on this.

I just use a piece of paper folded up to the thickness needed.

I agree that it looks as if it has been made by someone who doesn't know what an iron is for.

@sleepingwolf & @Ploshkin
Thank you both for the advice and I managed to find a supplier of millinary Petersham on Etsy and I'm told it's on the way to me.

The Haberdashery / Petersham Ribbon

Help, does anyone know of a reliable supplier of petersham ribbon for making waistbands?  I've trawled through the internet but some places don't seem to know the difference between petersham and grosgrain.

Style Arc Willow trousers seem to meet your requirements but I would be tempted to try Eferema’s suggestion.

For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Bernina Foot 7
« on: June 04, 2020, 14:46:48 PM »
I have an unused Bernina Foot 7 which is used for tailor tacks, fringing, faggoting, and terry cloth embroidery.  It fits Activa, Artista, Aurora, and Virtuosa machines and I'm asking £20 + postage for it if anyone is interested; they currently retail at about £50.

I also have a copy of Sewing Basics for Every Body by Wendy Ward complete with patterns and I'm asking for £5 + postage for this.  I bought it as a present for my niece but she had already bought a copy.

@Stitchalot
I’m not worried about a wait as I don’t have an immediate need for them as they are just good additions to my machine.
