Thanks. I've made a start using an old sheet.
This is the collar, second attempt :

And the body, just hand tacked on a dolly- but the turn back at centre front is on the wrong side, so work to do yet.

And the back looks a mess  8)

Re - the ultra tight knitting. Is it possible to knit somehow onto two needles held together, then you can extract one of them to knit with the other needle for your next row?

Oh I take full responsibility for being a halfwit. I seem to just not keep up with face to face and back to backs, and both times I did it I sewed the triangles onto the back of the square instead of the front.

Just me being me.
