Morning all

I’ve been awake for ages with an incredibly sore arm where I had the Pfizer jab yesterday, I just couldn’t get comfortable and also feeling very cold. I’m hoping it starts to feel a bit better today but we’ll see.

I’m up and downstairs with the 📺 on quietly having a  :drink: wrapped up under my lovely lap quilt I made.

Yesterday I found some lovely 4ply wool upstairs so I thought it would be nice to have something to do in the evening. After searching high and low for some 2.75mm in my big bag of knitting needles, did I have a pair …….nope, how typical is that,  so I drove off to a nearby wool shop and picked some up. Thought I’d start with the sleeves which are plain and easy to do whilst my arm is feeling sore. This wool needs using up to make some space on my craft cupboard as it takes up a lot of room, while I was looking for the wool I found another pack so that will need knitting up as well.

I’m not doing anything today apart from cutting DH hair later on and some knitting, will get back to the cushion project tomorrow when I don’t have any interruptions.

Enjoy your day

Well i'm back from having my booster jab, the arm i had the Pfizer in feels a bit heavy and slightly sore but apart from that feels ok. I couldn't believe how cold it was out, it was like arctic cold Brrrrr, glad i'm back home in the warm and that's where i'm going to stay.

@Celia Glad you slept well and i think having a bit more of a 'whatever' attitude to things that you shouldn't worry about has probably helped you sleep better.

Morning all

I slept like a log last night but i was up at 6am as i felt i'd slept long enough. Got my 3rd covid booster at 9:10 this morning along with the flu jab, where i have to go is only 5 minutes by car so nice and local.

@Sandra Your garden looks really pretty with all that snow.
@Silver Rose Glad your brothers cataract op went well  :thumb:
@Sheilago I hope you managed to get some sleep.

I'm not doing much today seeing as i have the jabs but i must tidy my fabric if i don't do anything else.

Enjoy your day

@Celia I'd certainly look at a private dentist, mine is and the costs are pretty much the same as NHS, cost me £85 to have my tooth extracted and that included the injection and xray.

It's so easy to start worrying about everything and before you know it your worrying about things that don't matter. Your fence man has done a really nice job so take that as a positive step to getting the garden sorted, the rest can wait until spring when the weather is better.

@Celia I have one tooth missing down the side and my dentist also said you don't need a denture, mine has been missing for a long time and i don't even notice that it's not there, sounds like your dentist is trying to make a few quid out of you. I'd look for another dentist if i was you.

@Celia Good luck with the dentist, at least it's a morning appointment so less time to worry, you'll be back before you know it

@Sandra My plugs holes do that sometimes and i always pour a bottle of drain cleaner down the plug hole, leave it for the recommended time, i usually do it overnight, it soon clears it.

Morning all

I’m just about to get up and sorted, slept quite well last night and didn’t wake at all.

The weather forecast is predicting rain showers this morning  :rolleyes but it definitely doesn’t feel as cold as yesterday.

Need to pop to sainsbury’s this morning for a few bits then on with the chores, hoover/dust/bedding to be changed/washing & bathroom to be cleaned then I’ll be done.

I really must tidy my fabric stash today, so once all of the above has been done I’ll sit down and do that. Other than this I have nothing else planned for today apart from maybe sandwiching the balloon cushion and starting the quilting.

@Silver Rose Good luck with your appointment

Enjoy your day

@Acorn Thankyou, it is very satisfying, looking back it was probably a bit ambitious doing something this big to start with but i got there in the end, i've really enjoyed it and have learnt a few things along the way that i would do better next time. I would love to do a wall hanging using this method maybe depicting a landscape or something similar.
