All done.
. It actually needed 5” off, so I cut off about 2.5” , then pinned up 2.5” more , ironed it and pinned it , then sewed all around with stitch 8 the stretchy zigzag. After that I trimmed it close to the zigzag, which is a great tip. The sewing went really well, however the original cutting off of the 2.5” was tricky as the manufacturer (White Stuff ) wasn’t too fussy about keeping the pattern level on the patterned fabric. As you can see the line of flowers is way off,
but I had to go with what was already done or it would have been an uneven hem. Also a bit big for a 14 , but I’m not taking it in. It’ll be fine for a hot day if we get any.
