I'm waiting for the pattern to arrive and then will have to find some fabric so might be a bit behind the rest of you.

I bought a duvet set by Angel from Sainsburys, the pattern is great but the fabric is a b***** to iron unless I do it while it is slightly damp.

Thanks for mentioning Stitch Sisters and I have just signed up for the coverstitch class.  I made a mistake signing up and managed to pay twice so I emailed them and the refund was dealt with instantly.

I didn't read the thread so included my Janome Coverstitch but I have Berninas for general sewing.

I also use the 2-thread option (one needle and lower looper) for overlocking or rolled edges on very lightweight fabrics. You won't regret buying an overlocker and will wonder how you managed without one.

My Bernina is very forgiving on threads as I can use a mixture in the loopers but I always use a good quality thread in the needle(s), also it's a good way of using up different colour threads

I had a 3-thread but traded it in for a 4-thread as they are more versatile.  I have a Bernina 800DL and have heard good reports of both Janome and Brother overlockers.

Still making daft mistakes on my skirt.  I was overlocking the seam allowance and wanted to use just 2 threads, firstly I was threading the lower looper incorrectly, it took me over half an hour to sort this out.  When I eventually overlocked the edges they weren't very flat, and when I came to do the lining seam edges I realised that the little lever for rolled hemming was in the wrong position.  The machine is now set up correctly and I hope I can finish the skirt without any further problems  .
