@CraftyIrish the quilt looks great so far! Any progress on the border decisions?

Haven't gotten to a fabric shop yet and with lockdown I won't get to one for 6 weeks. 

Most of my quilts where made with recycled  Duvet covers i got for free from my aunt who lucky was cleaning out her utility room. They are 99.99% gone now. I love to recycle old materials.

Nearly have the outside of the bag done, just need to sew the handles on and sew down each side and box the corners. Then onto the lining.


Update im done lol I was up to early this morning at half five.

I only started cutting and collecting things yesterday.

I was making straps for my crochet bag just a hour ago with fake leather and the bottom was pulling to much and pleating it, so I used paper under it and then ripped the paper off when I was done.

How much does it cost to get your quilts done. I was looking into it here where I live and it was costing €100 or more.

Welcome to the new and wonderful world of sewing - prepare to become addicted. Do be aware we are all enablers - so if ever you ask " should I buy......" the answer is invariably "yes'  except from Lowena who is our voice of reason!

Yeah I made a pressing pad myself a few months back and before that I was running out to the kitchen and using the counter with a teatowl on it.
