Ruthie I really like that top/trousers combo!

Still no sewing here. perhaps today, but it will all be mending/altering previously made items.

Hi @indigotiger!  Nice to see you over here. Looking forward as always to see what you put together. :)

I managed to gather up fabrics for SWAKOP. I do indeed have a lot of pink available. :)  Also a lot of blue. We'll see what I can put together.  I am still in the thinking/planning phase, not ready to sew just yet. Pants are on my mind, as I need at least 2 more pair for work and play.  Will probably stick with something I am familiar with for a quick sew here at the beginning. If I want to make that jacket I'll have to get on it, but that will have to wait until after June.

Barely one week after I finished SWAP, and I am planning :)

Not sure what will come first, actually first order of business is cleaning the house as we are hosting some graduation events next month. I might be able to squeak out a fast top or two that could serve for the SWAKOP, and would enable me to toss some of my old, tired shirts.

Maybe today or tomorrow I'll start pulling and organizing fabric with patterns.

Just finished SWAP, and I'll for sure take a short break, but I have at least 4 garments planned that could extend my SWAP and fit for SWAKOP too.

thinking of Pink and Ivory, maybe black as color groups. Bridge garment would be a pink tweed jacket. Hmm. I like this already.

We'll see if I have it in me. I really want to get the jacket done regardless. Perhaps I'll start there?

I may join in, I'll have to see.  I've also been participating in SWAP 2019, and I'm sure I'll be worn out by the end of April.

But I do have some more time-intensive projects planned, perhaps they could morph into SWAKOP?

I don't think i've posted here, but I definitely need to sew up the stash.  No clue how much I've got, but I just need to either sew it up, or move it on to its next home.  I hope to sew up 2 yards for every yard I bring in.  I've got 2 pairs of pants in the works that should eat up 3+ yards in the next day or so.

Gotten started!  I have the body and lining cut for a much needed bag, all items including the interfacing and zip are from stash.

8
I should be able to find something hanging around to finish. There is a quilt top languishing in the stash somewhere. And a dress to be topstitched and hemmed.  Do alterations count?

Oh my, lovely work everyone!  I'll have to get cracking  :D

Woo! everyone is so busy!

I'm still working on a piece that I started last year. After that most of what I sew in January will be from stash, so hopefully in a few weeks I'll have something to share here.

Congrats to the winner!

It was a tough vote. All the collections really had their own personality, made it very hard to choose.

I'll happily join in on this challenge!  I hope to sew at least 2 garments from stash in January, this will give me extra motivation.

I use the same stash shrinker spreadsheet that Ruthie uses, I think I actually learned about it from her. :)  Lately I've been ignoring it and purchasing some yardage, some I needed to complete a specific project, some just called to me as I wandered through the fabric store and jumped into my cart!

I'll redouble my efforts in the new year to whittle down the fabric storage.

I am no way, no how, gonna finish this. :( Sad, cause I really liked all my ideas.

Kwaaked, do take care of yourself. Hope you are doing OK.

Beautiful collection!!

Hi all, have not been present on this board since summer, too many other things to attend to!

Kwaaked, so sorry about your FIL. Be sure to take care of yourself.

I see that SWAKOP has been extended?  This is fabulous news!  I am participating in many other up coming challenges, and I am going to try to merge them all if I can. I have hit a space where I can do some concentrated sewing, so perhaps I can finish with the new deadline.
