You are right, Pearl, that was very negligent of me! I'll attempt to post a few here.

This is the pattern our charity group uses. The colors and themes vary widely.

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Re: FPP Unicorn

Your pillow is beautiful!! My daughter, lover of all things rainbow or unicorn, would absolutely LOVE this. Alas, I am not a huge fan of PP so it's highly unlikely to ever get made in my lair! You did a great job, and that fringe edging is the perfect final touch.

Hi! I'm new to the forum, and Kenora invited me to join in over here and tell about my new toys. Until a few years ago, my quilting was limited to a few baby quilts. About 5 years ago I got involved with a group that makes quilts for a local children's hospital. We meet monthly during the winter, and always use the same pattern. I started playing with scrap quilts on my own to use up leftovers, and these also go to the hospital.

My trusty 30yo Pfaff finally needed to retire to light duty, so for Christmas hubby bought me a new Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.2. I'm not in love with it yet. I'm still figuring out it's quirks and the computer on it, and it seems to think that it's smarter than I am, which I find frustrating. I'm sure I will come to love it, but we're off to an awkward start.

I spent much of Jan and Feb out of state dealing with a family situation, and when I got home, my sewing machine had new friends- a Sew Steady table, and this ruler foot and starter set. Westalee Sampler Set

When I showed hubby my first samples with the different rulers,  he was clueless what I was showing him. Turns out he had NO idea what he bought! The salesman had given him a package deal on "everything she needs to get started" and he didn't know what anything was, other than the table. These are going to be great fun, and he may have inadvertently given me an excuse to spend lots more money.

Now I'm doing the Free Motion Quilt-along from Angela Walters/Quilting is my Therapy to play with them. I'm getting a late start due to the continuing family situation, and just got my squares made tonight.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else here makes!

Hi, I'm new... / Hello!
« on: March 06, 2018, 15:50:08 PM »
Good to see a few familiar faces here! It's always nice to find a place to hang out with other sewing enthusiasts.

I'm a 50-something homeschooling mom, and I dabble in all kinds of crafts, but sewing has been my first love since I was a teen. I enjoy making clothes, but currently am playing more with quilting since my hubby bought me some new quilting toys.

I live in central Minnesota, USA. I was raised in a military family, and married a military man, so I've lived in a wide variety of places. MN has always been home, and we came here when hubby retired from the Air Force.
