A bit boring, well a lot boring really, I do quite like the beige trousers though but I've got a slightly better one from vogue which is probably why I like it but it's years old  :|

Go grab it quick, I've got that model and paid about 3 times that for it. It is very heavy but they are lovely machines .

I've tried with 2 sizes of rotary cutters and cannot get on with them at all.

@Beyond Curiosity what Sandra said makes perfect sense however if you really feel you don't have the confidence to do that yet how about taking that bulky tape out of the neck and putting something narrower in its place and possibly moving the cord opening more to the front instead of the side.

Welcome from me too @French NOT, I'm sure you'll like it here  :)

Welcome @funcushions, have a good look round were a friendly bunch and love to hear about our new members sewing journeys  :)

Hi @Joni_80, welcome from me too. I totally agree with Ellabella & Helen M about going for an older second hand machine, they are far better and to be honest I've had 3 new machines over the years and still prefer the older (ancient) ones my favourite is actually older than me and I'm 67 😳.

Hi @Sedalin, wow what an awesome find, treasure it, the old machines are by far the best with lots of us "erm" acquiring/collecting them  :D.

House Beautiful / Re: Uses for surplus blackout lining?
« on: April 07, 2021, 21:59:08 PM »
I've used the rubber backed stuff as extra ticking on my feather cushions to stop the feathers poking through, I've also used it as a water resist lining for some shopping bags I've made. It washes ok if you only use a 30c program and slow the spin speed down to around 200-400 rpm.

It makes me want to cry  😤😭. If I had to look at anything like that, it'd make me want to fix it.
