Well spotted, @fajita .  Isn’t it funny how it is so much easier to see these things on a photo?

Your quilt looks great, @Bjay .

I will never, ever make another quilt using Marti Michell templates.  (To be accurate, I haven't made a quilt using them, but I have made all the components out of a gazillion stupid little fiddly pieces.)

I will make another log cabin quilt.  I've made two before and enjoy the process.
I'd like to make another Bargello quilt.  Maybe a smaller one.

How about you?

I’ve used the same method as @WildAtlanticWay ,from the book Quilt As You Go Made Modern,  but I wouldn’t do it again.  You still have to put the whole quilt through the machine when stitching in the ditch which defies the purpose in my opinion.

No good having a word with my mum, @Lowena .  Where do you think I learned my bad habits?

Everything else I want to make, I’ve already started.

I do have 827 quilts saved on a Pinterest board.

You know that I could not be of any help to you in this matter, @Lowena .  I have a sock on my needles.  I’m decreasing for the toes of the second sock.  It could be finished in minutes, but it has been sitting on my table for weeks.

I love that pattern, @Bumblebuncher .   Definitely on my To Do list.

I enjoyed watching that but it then led me on to watch a whole run of quilting videos!!  :P

I didn’t get past the first quilt before I was off down the rabbit hole.

I think anything that reads as solid from a distance.  It is better because it’s less “flat” than a solid.

Embroidery and Embellishment / Re: Roxy's Journal of Stitchery
« on: April 11, 2022, 11:14:38 AM »
I got stuck halfway through March but hope to catch up now I’m off work.

I don’t have an old quilt to use, but I tea dipped a piece of textured upholstery fabric for April.  It shrunk and is darker than I wanted so, back to the drawing board.

I’m going to do some tea and ice dyeing.  I’ve also got an indigo dye kit, although the instructions were sent by email so I’ll need to dig them out.

Although there are only three months of this project to go, I can’t see me stopping any time soon.  Too many ideas.

Today’s haul from the scrap store and street sale.

I hope to do some dyeing in the Easter holidays but I need to finish March’s block first.
