Well I'm stuck. No idea where to go now not helped by that I can't upload a photo for ideas.
The quilt is now 63ins x 60ins.
It needs and extra row or to 2 to lengthen it so it is about 72ins long. I have fabric in short lengths mostly about 5 ins wide but as it is scrappy abd none of the 'scraps are consistent in size

I'll have another attempt at uploading a photo.

A Good Yarn / Re: The Repair shop - Irish Clones lace

I noticed that too, @BrendaP

It was plainly crochet-made but to call it something other than lace is a bit nit-picky to me.  If she'd made the point that it wasn't bobbin lace, which, to be fair, most people think of when they think of heritage lace, it might have made more sense.

Still, she had a lot more patience than I could have shown in the face of a challenge like that :-)

I don't normally give names to machines but I think she has to be Pearl (with your permission @Pearl !).

She looks lovely and in great condition,  the label on her says she is a 201K so maybe not the lightweight version

Vintage Machines / Singer Patcher machine shown on Australian Repair Shop
« Last post by Elnnina on April 25, 2024, 11:19:45 AM »
Within the last two weeks or so they started showing a new series of Australian Repair Shop and in one episode a very old mucky Singer patcher machine was brought in, in fact it was treadle operated.  They worked wonders on this machine, all the rust was removed and it was repainted and then the gold lettering was redone, the treadle mechanism was overhauled and painted black again and of course they got the machine working again.  The Australian series is being shown on Sky  Really which is channel 144.  I know one or two of you have a patcher machine so thought you might be interested.  This was episode two of this series and shown on 10th April - they called it a rare machine.
