Hello,

I'm trying to fix a hole under the arm of a woolly jumper...my machine will instantly read LO and stop working. Did all the troubleshooting options, still getting this warning. I changed the needle as well and still not working....this is so frustrating!  :rant:
What am I doing wrong?

My machine is Janome 5060QDC.

Good morning, I am contemplating in getting a dressmaker mannequin.
I wanted to have your views on the Adjustoform Tailormaid Heavy Duty Dress Form… do you own one? Do you like it?

VERY SILLY QUESTION….Is a plain colour mannequin better than a floral or polka dot?

Hello everyone, Bonjour tout le monde,  :*

Christmas is approaching fast and thought I could treat myself (or hubby could :P) to an adjustable mannequin?
Have you got one of these? Are they any good? Which one would you recommend?

I have just started taken on sewing (April 2020) and still learning a LOT and I am sure a mannequin will help me?

Hello,

My friend has asked me if I could alter her winter coats as it is too big around the waist.
The only problem is...I have NEVER done this and don't really know where to start?.. and to make it more complicated for me...the coat has a lining :(


I wonder whether you would have a "guide" on how to do this? or any Youtube videos I could watch to help me?

My friend said that she is not too bothered on how it looks but just doesn't want to give the coat away as she really likes it.

I was wondering if anyone know of a big fabric shop in my area or close by? I live in a village close to Watford in Herts...
I usually buy my fabric on-line (or small local haberdashers) but wanted to go to a big shop where they have a LOT of choices of fabric....and make a day out of it  :P

I think it is raw edge to raw edge isn’t it? Ending up with selvage on top and selvage at the bottom.

That video @jesster have sent is very good. The bit about this special fold shows at 14.50mn

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to reply to me with my silly question! I am so embarrassed! lol :|

I think I am overthinking it to be honest...panicking... worried to cut incorrectly and waste my nice fabric (I chose batik cotton).

I will give it a go....and I cut it wrong then I am sure I can make something else out of the fabric......it is never wasted really is it?  :P
