Nice job.
I don't like bound seams either. I always line instead.

I love the little peek of shimmery purple and it's so neatly put together.

That looks very neatly made.  I've not tried binding seams yet, may have to give it a go, although it does sound fiddly!

I’ve just finished https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1337391189/retro-tec-sling-bag-sewing-pattern?  for my DD.

It’s the first Kandou Crafts pattern I’ve made and I’m quite pleased with it.

My only niggle is the internal binding. I’ve always birthed a bag so the seams are enclosed but this one has the seams bound with bias tape after assembly.

I found it really difficult to keep the binding neat with all the lumps and bumps of the seams. The designer suggests trapping the seams within the binding and sewing with one pass but I couldn’t get a decent finish this way, so resorted to hand sewing the backside of the binding.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Patchwork & Quilting ... Welcome to the Darkside / Re: Winding your Binding
« Last post by Sara-S on Yesterday at 21:28:38 »
I had made some very wide binding that I had wound around that electrical cord keeper.  Turns out that I made several yards (meters/metres) more than I needed.  So I unfolded it & pressed it flat.  I had enough to make a border for all 4 sides of one Morning star block & 2 sides of another one.
