I'd stick with squares, rectangles or strips as there aren't any triangles in it already. A border top and bottom of 5" squares perhaps?
How big are the existing blocks?

They're great, @Missie and I do like the no frills, or rather no unasked for and often rather twee labels or envelopes approach.

Thanks Helen, yes it is Quest that this Australian Repair Shop is being shown.  (Sorry I do get muddled up between the two channels)

I was thinking about a row or 2 of HST - any thoughts?

@Bjay When I get to the 'what next?' point, I usually find that leaving the top where you can look at it in passing helps. The quilt will tell you.
Depending on what you have left, maybe another frame then HSTs or flying geese? Of course they don't have to go all the way round... you could go round opposite corners, or part of each side. If you're short of fabric, you might find you've got similar colours that you could sneak in to pad out the remains. If you just want to add length and aren't worried about symmetry (ie all 4 sides must match) just add patches top and bottom and declare it finished.

Can I do a shout out to CLC Printing.  I placed an order with them on Sunday for 5 patterns to be printed and they arrived yesterday.  Great quality of paper and I'm pleased with the turnaround.  They even refunded the cost of one page as I'd overcounted (although it may be that one didn't upload, not sure yet!!!) the number of pages to be printed. Total cost was £18.
