For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Fabric for dolls clothes

I have a bagload of fabric left over from various dressmaking projects, some are fairly large and could  be used for dolls' clothes or possibly children's clothes.  If anyone would have a use for it, could they please PM me.  I don't want paying for it and I would pay postage (2nd Class parcel post) as I just want it to go to a good home.  It seems such a waste to just throw it in the recycling bin.

Help, does anyone know of a reliable supplier of petersham ribbon for making waistbands?  I've trawled through the internet but some places don't seem to know the difference between petersham and grosgrain.

For Sale, Wanted & Free to a good home / Bernina Foot 7

I have an unused Bernina Foot 7 which is used for tailor tacks, fringing, faggoting, and terry cloth embroidery.  It fits Activa, Artista, Aurora, and Virtuosa machines and I'm asking £20 + postage for it if anyone is interested; they currently retail at about £50.

I also have a copy of Sewing Basics for Every Body by Wendy Ward complete with patterns and I'm asking for £5 + postage for this.  I bought it as a present for my niece but she had already bought a copy.

Have just seen a post on Pattern Review that Bernina are ceasing production of the 1008.  I used one when doing dressmaking at evening classes many years ago but wasn’t able to afford one at that time.

I have just looked at the Jalie top made by Fiona M and she is on her side and not upright.  I've noticed that some but not all photos also display this way, is there any way of changing it so that people are upright?

Why is it that patterns seem to change size between garments?  I have two pairs of pull-on trousers made from the same pattern but different fabric and one pair is a good fit and the other feels to have been made for someone else.

Excellent service from them.  I ordered some fabric late Thursday afternoon not expecting it to arrive until next Tuesday at the earliest, it arrived yesterday morning by 2nd Class post.  So skirt and lining cut out and pinned and I'm just about to thread up machines ready for sewing.

The Haberdashery / Unable to buy zips locally

I have been trying to buy a skirt zip locally (Medway towns) but without success.  I couldn't find the right length or colour anywhere so I've ended ordering on line.  It's so frustrating not to be able to buy habby locally as what shops there are do not stock a good range of products.  Although I did find some ponte roma to make a skirt so it wasn't quite a wasted trip.
