ever pulled the head off a zip or struggled to put the head on a length of continuous zip?
Try using a fork as a third hand - it works very well

We harvest and reuse the fabric from denim jeans, don't we ;) .

Confession - I've usually thrown away the skeleton of seams left over but now some clever people have found craft project uses for them -

No-Sew Basket - coil the seams and glue.  It's a small bowl in the video tutorial but I can see that working with higher sides.

Woven pot or plant holder - uses a tube as a former and the strips of seams.

Embroidery Machines / Janome Digitizer V5.5 and upgrade now on sale in UK
« on: February 05, 2019, 16:31:28 PM »

A heads up for UK members with Janome Digitizer who want to upgrade to v5.5.
I have just ordered the upgrade from Janome V5 to Janome 5.5 from Sewing Machines Direct (SMD), Cost is £249.00.
It should be on their website soon, and hopefully the websites of other dealers, but until it is if you want one, you may have to order from the dealer over the phone.
The dealer then orders from Janome UK and the package is despatched to you.  Janome UK are not taking orders from customers direct so you have to go through a dealer.

As an aside, it seems Janome UK may not have not notified the dealers as yet that V5.5 or the upgrade packages are actually available.  Maybe the lack of communication between Janome and the dealers is something the dealers should pursue.  Just another example of the Janome Digitizer debacle.

Anyway if you want the upgrade, get onto your dealer.

Just spotted this on FB marketplace   - One for a collector I think, looks to be an antique.
Its in Morecambe
