Many thanks for starting this thread
@Celia and all those who contributed. It has got me thinking about things I had just taken for granted whenever I thought about changing my sewing room furniture.
I have had a Horn cabinet for years (and I mean years - 1990). I knew about the cabinets but it was really bought on impulse when I went into a Singer shop that was closing down. It was display stock, a 1065 original price £725 and I got it for £435.
Closed it looks most like the Calypso but it has cubbies on the inside of the swing out door and drawers on the righthand side.
I have never considered getting rid of it because, well it's a Horn, it looks as good as when I got it (they are very well made) and if/when I move I would be downsizing and it could go into a living room as a piece of furniture.
Now all of you have made me start to think properly about it.
If I downsize something like the Cub would hold my Bernina and take up less space closed. I have a Hide-Away (the Mark 1) which takes my overlocker and embellisher.
Another Hide-Away or a SewEzi would take my Bernina and take up less space than my Horn in my present room.
