A Good Yarn / Re: Moss stitch
« on: December 06, 2022, 09:28:47 AM »
Brilliant. Thank you.
I know I would go wrong if trying to reverse the instructions in my head (and am too lazy to sit down and write out the reverse instructions).

A Good Yarn / Moss stitch

On the basis that the only stupid question is one you don't ask...

Does moss stitch produce a reversible piece of kntting?

You know how a pattern gives instructions for 'left side' and says to then reverse the instructions for 'right side' so if you knit two 'left' sides in moss stitch could you then just turn one to make a right side?

Courses & Classes / Re: Craftsy membership offer

Just spotted this on FB

"Crafty is offering Premium Memberships for only $1.49 during Black Friday. And that's for an entire year. It's normally $89.99. WOW! That's a great deal.  I've checked them out and they have awesome sewing classes & expert instruction. Plus, they also have 20+ other hobbies too!"

Are they losing subscribers I wonder?

And, yes it looks as if it's some ordinary person posting, but it's Craftsy's page so their doing.

@Flobear  I did enter mine although I think it would trail miserably behind.
Voting is always a subjective thing.
We only have the photos to go on and there are so many reasons to pick something.

Does it suit the maker?
Would I wear it?
Does it look more difficult?
Do I like the colour?

Yes it is easy to feel you are 'bottom' (I know I would - and take it personally) but that isn't how we should feel.

IO got my renewal notice and cancelled by email. Just one follow up offering a lower rate (but not as low as you were offered).
I didn't reply.

I swear, not as often as I did in my 20s and very much depending on the company I am in (in private is a whole different story).
I like the different angle of the book and might have bought it (you can't have too many books can you) but, even for me, she really has dropped the F-bomb too many times.

It stops having any point when scattered like confetti.

Don't be a gossipy bunch of Old Ladies. That doesn't look good on anybody.

PS. I know I'm going to get flack for this. Go ahead. Bring it.
Yes, Miss. Sorry, Miss. Promise to be good little children in future or stop posting anything

Can't really post a pic of good intentions  :)
That's as far as I've got!
The only thing I have ever been good at.

@Iminei That occurred to me too, but studying for a Professional Policing degree kind of excludes doing the creepy priest thing!!

Great to have you back and to hear that the eyesight is sorted

I was told there was more space - wider isles, more areas to sit down and some of the big stands were missing.
Empress Mills and Doughtys were mentioned.

Looks fantastic

Wanders off muttering 'they have more land over there that's why the houses (and sewing rooms) are bigger'

I get my shears sharpened by Prosharp, they are very quick. I definitely recommend them for that.
Expect mine to last for many years, I can't remember the manufacturer ( the owner died in tragic circumstances some years ago), but they sharpen up beautifully.
Was the company Ernest Wright?
