Block of the Month 2020 / Re: Novembers BOM

To be very specific, it's a dark purpley-brown and feels batik-y. As soon as I saw it in the shop I knew it was just the thing. Black would have been too intense.

Thank you for your kind comments TSPers. As I keep mentioning, I had a superb and lovely teacher to help me on the way and couldn't be more grateful to Imi for all her time and encouragement

Morning TSPers

Wet and yukky in Not So DDDorset too. Working out if it will be possible to dodge raindrops on dog-walk. I think not. I know I really should be having a sort out/chuck of loft contents but it's hard to get motivated. Maybe after coffee  :[

Hope everyone has something nice about today. I've officially finished my FirstEverQuilt. That's nice

OK, I've finally crossed the finish line

Here are some closer-up bits to prove that I've done exactly what Miss Imi said  :P

Label, flangey-pani and mitred corner.

Back of label and proof that under the flangey-pani there is at least one pointy point  ;)

Something that made me smile on a gloomy day.

The hardware shop in Rhayader (in Wales) has again produced its own Christmas ad.

Badge, please. I'd be happy to collect, sometime.

My label is in. I thought I'd put it down one side, turns out it's at the top   However, the quilt doesn't have to be used in a particular orientation so it doesn't matter that much.

Just the last section of hand-stitching to do @Iminei . It needs full daylight so hours in the day quickly run out. Several things have come up in the last few days that prevented me from sewing. Hoping to finish today.

@Greybird you have my sympathy. I was exhausted after just one day of negotiations yesterday with one person. I was so glad the estate agent was doing all the to-ing and fro-ing between us, I really would not have liked to be dealing directly with the vendor, I find all that sort of thing very difficult. And, Jack, the estate agent, who sounds as if he has only just left school  :faints:  worked his socks off until the final phone call at 5.55pm when my final offer was accepted. It's not even his case but the lad who is dealing with my purchase is off for the week.

Morning TSPers.

I have woken up feeling better than I have for a week because my house purchase, that was in danger of going tits up wrong due to a couple of fairly big problems, is now back on track. Here's hopng for a less bumpy ride for the next few weeks.

I may be able to finish the binding on my BOM quilt today, at last.

Have good days, whatever you do.

That's exactly what I did @Iminei  Great minds and all that  ;)

I'm sure I'm right in saying that @Iminei has an offer of a masterclass on pj botts from @Puzzler  . It's finding the right fabric that's the sticking point. I spotted some online that I thought would be perfect and asked for a sample but they never got back to me  ><

212" of binding machined on. Had to have 3 goes at the final join  :S  Need decent light to sort out the twiddly bits, may get time to turn it tomorrow. Hoping the mitres will be neat without any further attention.
