Today... One thread per day / Re: Tuesday 24th November

I had 2 short power cuts too yesterday, at 2 and 3pm so I found a torch and put it in my trousers pocket just in case for the evening but it was OK. Candles now on my shopping list.

Well folks, lots for me to consider, perhaps I'll go through my patterns and see what else I fancy or I might just stick with good old reliable M6886.

Morning, I'm all snuggled up on the sofa, still dark outside I can hear the wind. I've had my hot chocolate and I'm thinking about what's to do today.

The bodice part is not a problem, @Iminei , it worked ok last time. The underneath wrap bit of the skirt needs some adjustment so I am covered up and decent. I could wear a slip I suppose  .

Thanks for your thoughts peeps, when I made the first dress I didn't have a problem with the bust part.  More research needed I think to see if I can get the skirt not to reveal all when it shouldn't. I've got a faux wrap dress pattern somewhere but it needs more fabric than I have got of the jersey.

That is so sweet, it'll make a lovely Christmas present.

This lovely bright jersey is from CroftMill, I have only made one wrap dress before, it wasn't a success. There was a thread recently about the pro's and con's of wrap dresses. I am going to have another go when I am able and I've got my machine back.
The pattern was a freebie with a sewing magazine.

Good morning, I think I saw a slight frost on the grass when I peeped out earlier. I am cosy under the blanket on the sofa and I've had my hot chocolate. Porridge for breakfast later.Usual chores to do today and waiting for another Amazon parcel. Might make a cauliflower and lentil curry for lunch. Have a good day.

I did enjoy the tennis @hernibs , I was cheering on Thiem but Medvedev was outstanding, time for the young 'uns to take centre stage. I promise I won't mention b******i again. Slept well again but up early.

Just one pastry a day can't do any harm @hernibs    ;)

@Ohsewsimple, some Carluccio's hazelnut and chocolate biscotti, almond soft biscotti and new to me Venezia mixed biscuits and pastries in a very pretty tin, they make lovely gifts and some for me too. Just back from a sunny drive and walk, saw 2 lots  of deer, 3 kestrels and a small flock of skylarks but not a buzzard anywhere.
Hungry now and the ATP tennis final to watch later.
Edit: Mathilde Vicenzi makes Verona and Venezia pastries.

After the Amazon delivery yesterday I have some presents to wrap up, the rest of my order should come tomorrow.
Enjoy your Sunday.
