Bias cut fabric

Hi,
I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but I have a question .....
In my treasure hunt over this past weekend, I discovered a very long (maxi), RTW white linen sleeveless dress
My plan is to take the dress apart and reuse the fabric to make a top with sleeves, BUT its been cut on the bias.
I would dearly love to make something on the straight grain (don't like bias cut garments) but don't know if it would be possible.

Anyone got any knowledge on this point?

can you mark the grain line with thread or raker somehow.  Turn the fabric and have a look and see what you’ve got.   No reason why it can’t be done, depends how much fabric you have.  You may need to be creative.  :)
