Just a very quick, feeling stupid sort of question.
What do I sew on first, the press stud/popper/snap fastener, or the button...?

I usually put the button on first as it's still easy to get your needle through for the popper. If you attach the popper first, the whole area covered by it becomes stiff and hard to get your needle through without bending it.
