I've had this pattern for a while now (and the fabric has been maturing in the stash) so thought it was time to bring the two together.
The top goes together very nicely and for once, the line drawing isn't exaggerated in the way that stylearc so often do. It's designed for softly draping wovens so I've used a poly georgette. Mostly sewn on the overlocker and a bit of hand sewing for the hems. I measured the pattern pieces before cutting out to make alterations on the paper and not mess around too much with the fabric. Stylearc use narrow seam allowances and georgette can be unforgiving if you need to undo seams.
The pattern is really nice and makes up well. I particularly like the cap sleeves as I'm not keen on sleeveless but think that short sleeves can make a top look a bit old-fashioned on me.
Off to see if I can get a jacket done for the weekend now - nothing like a challenge!
