Just received this paisley jacquard ponte for a full skirted dress using Vogue 9202 view B  but with long sleeves. I'll make it a bit longer too.

I have made a start, I cut out the four skirt pieces with suitable breaks including one to pick up the contents of my pins container. Thank goodness for the magnet on my picker upper. There is a lot of fabric in that skirt, I'll cut out the bodice pieces later when I've rested my legs and had some lunch.

That is such a nice pattern, with good variations too.  I like the shaped waist seam.  It has been on my to-do list for a while and I shall read of your progress with interest.

You've chosen a lovely fabric for the winter months.  I'm a great fan of red myself.

Hope you got all the pins!

@SkoutSews  I have made two of the fitted straight skirted versions, one in royal blue ponte and the other with purple bodice and long sleeves and black skirt also in ponte way back in November 2018. This is the first time with a full skirt.

Start sewing this morning on my new Janome and all is going well, I put the pinned together skirt section on Mimi (my dress form) and was pleased with the way the skirt looked. I don't think I'll do much more today, sitting down for 15 minutes at a time is enough for my legs.

Made a bit more progress, matched up the seams of bodice and skirt which are pinned and ready to sew, the princess seams of the bodice fit well over my curvy bits  and when I put the dress on Mimi it looked good, she can stand up straighter than I can   ;). I remembered to slim down the long sleeves as I find Vogue patterns are large for my 16 so I cut a 14. Loving my Janome Dulcie.

Did a bit more today, I'll get the side seams tacked so I can try it for fit tomorrow and ask my friend what he thinks when he calls round. I'll need him to get the big ironing board set up so I can press the seams properly, I've been using my sleeve board to press the short seams as I go along.

I just tried the dress on with the side seams tacked and no sleeves and.... it fits me fine, as I can't stand up straight easily I couldn't see the back properly, I'll ask my friend to tell me how it looks when he calls in later.
It is very warm and cosy to wear,  just right for colder weather not that I want any of that soon.

Tried the dress on for my friend and he said it fitted well at the shoulders and back because sometimes I get gaping at the back of the neck and just above the back of the waist. So, happy bunny here.

More done this afternoon, just the sleeves to go in and hems finished and a good press.

@Silver Rose that looks gorgeous, absolutely loving the skirt  :D

As it neared the top of the grade, it went more slowly. However, it still kept saying, "I—think—I—can, I—think—I—can." It reached the top by drawing on bravery and then went on down the grade, congratulating itself by saying, "I thought I could,  I thought I could."
