I have it and it’s very easy to thread up and use. It’s a cheap basic model but does what I need it to do. It bounced around a bit sometimes but I made a thick sewing mat for it to sit on and that solved that problem. I sold a similarly priced Singer as I had lots of trouble with tension on that one. I’ve not needed to faff about with the tension dials on this model at all so far.
I guess it comes down to your budget and what you’re planning to sew with it.
If you have more cash to spend and plan to use it loads, I’d definitely advise spending £500+ and investing in a higher quality model. However, if you’re only planning to make garments and overlock knit fabric seams, the Brother model is perfectly fine for that.
