Mancinetti? any experience?

A friend is bringing a family sewing machine back here from Italy.  She has been offered a choice of a Mancinetti m105 or a Singer 9803c. She wants to learn to sew.
Google shows pictures of machines probably similar vintage and the mancinetti manual seems to refer back to Singer.
No knowledge of either of them, but both look fairly straightforward.  I wonder if they are the right voltage for the UK, although an adapter is not too difficult, but not sure about servicing, except that older machines have a lot of similarities.  I don't know how to advise her, but they will be driving back soon, so need to make a choice.

Voltage shouldn't be a problem - if it works plugged in in Italy, it will work in UK.  Other than that, I cannot advise, I'm afraid.
