I'm here, today. Not much to do but I've just wagged my finger at Pfanny, ready to stitch the hems on my jeans. She can join all the other junk in the hippo bag that's been in next door's front garden for months if she misbehaves again.

I've cut out two tops and have started sewing one of them, so feel quite productive today  :P Details on my diary thread but it's not that interesting
So many beers, so little time.

Glad to say that Pfanny behaved superbly. I've realised that it's the interfacing she didn't like because she complained endlessly about being tired when I was reinforcing the tops of the pockets.

Showed my quilting muse my scraps and background, she insisted on seeing the 2 patterns and agreed on the one I had decided.
We both peered into SM box but so much to do today will take it all out tomorrow when I can hopefully have fewer interruptions

I've finished DD1's second nursing t shirt. I used 2 visible zips from stash and had no end of trouble. Cut to length, flamed the ends, overstitched. The first one went in fine but the second side of the other zip was unpicked 4 (yes, four) times before it was acceptable. I think this was because the zips were too thick. The invisible ones I've lost (obviously completely invisible) had much smaller pulls & thin tapes. On the plus side, I found a tube of toothpaste in a rather strange place. Yes, I searched our bedroom & the bathroom for the hidden zips & still didn't find them.

Not able to be here today as I hosting the quiz but I finished all the tacking on my trousers this morning so some sewing was done. Enjoy your sewing this afternoon.

I'm cutting out a toile of a Helmi blouse. Elephants will be upside down but it's a chance to be rebellious.

They will be the right way up when you look down on them.
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

I'm in the sewing room - first time in ages - trying to decide on colours for my Improvised quilt day. Off to Doughty's tomorrow!

Signing out for now as I don't want to get distracted  :)

I’ve found some buttons for my coat.  Not exciting but they should be dark enough.

Just down from SR. Endlessly cutting out or trimming 21/2 ins squares. Think I've done enough to be able to sew some up now.

So tomorrow I will attempt to set up and experiment with new machine (Bertha). Not been used (experimented with) yet. May need advice ?

I have found some edge scraps from a quilt backing that may be useful as well
