What wadding to use.

Hi all,

I am going to attempt to make a quilt as you go in 2 1/2 inch hexagons. I need to get the template and batting.  As far as I can see it is a minefield out there and I am asking for some expert advice please.

I will be hand sewing ( I think) and am not sure if that makes a difference.

I think I will be getting the Daisy and Grace template .

Any help you good people can give me would be most welcome.

Thank you in advance.

I usually use Hobbs Heirloom cotton wadding, @CAFCgirl . Mainly because I know exactly what it’s like. I’m sure there are other good cotton waddings  out there. I mainly make baby play quilts, but usually buy a 90” x 108” pack and cut it as needed : it’s cheaper than buying it in small amounts. I used to always buy it from Cottonpatch, but last time Amazon was cheaper. I just shop around.
I have also used Hobbs polyester if I wanted a puffier quilt.
