It's easy to sew, doesn't stick to itself or the machine foot like vinyl does. I used a slightly longer stitch length than normal and a size 14 needle , but it's probably best not to aim for sharp creases/folds as the cork surface will "crack" over time. I used cork fabric for a handbag and on DS's suggestion covered the surface with a very light coat of 50:50 PVA/ water - to protect against rain and greasy marks. Seems to have worked, but there again I haven't tested a non-treated version.
