The costume train has started again.  Today it's been alterations - 3 dresses , 2 lengthened, one from the top down and one from the bottom, the last one was more of a challenge - needed 16 centimetres taken out of the body,  and shortening. Had to take out the zipper, remove the frills and the facings, reshape the neckline and the underarm scoop. Was a good warm-up for the rest that will now start coming through the Catllar production line!  Also 2 new dresses needed just the zippers inserted but that took a long time as one of the seams had stretched so machining the zipper didn't work well, so I hand stitched. Quicker than faffing about with the machine.

Am  turning into an alteration specialist, watch out @Sandra .  I have shortened bias skirts and removed petticoats, replaced with contrast colours, Removed frills from some tunic tops, Added fringe to dungaree shoulder straps, replaced elastics in wrists of soft chiffon blouses, taken in one tailored skirt, - that was all before I covided yesterday.

Today I dragged myself upstairs and managed to stitch on about 50cms of frill before I gave up and unpicked half a seam on a skirt that needs the magic make it bigger fairy. Sigh . It's my skirt so I guess I'll find a way. I lost 2.5kilos this week so maybe I won't need to do anything if I'm sick for a while  ;)
