A fast floozy or a slow suzy??

It's your sewing habits ( not your social standing ) I'm after....
This afternoon I actually did some sewing  :faints: (too damp to garden ). It set me wondering about sewing habits of Darksiders, as I know nothing about garmenteers.
Which speed setting do you use on your machine? Are you a fast sewer or do you go slow?
When piecing small shapes I set on 2 ( mid speed ) and when attaching binding, backing etc I use 3....yep,I'm that speedy  :D I never use 1  :embarrassed:
I do pin, but away from the edge as I sew too quickly to take them out as I go. I can't bear doing things s l o w l y
I like things to proceed at a zomp!
What are your sewing habits?
Triumph of hope over experience :D

I think I’m a Medium Missy, I only do easy quilts (usually squares), I don’t pin when I’m piecing (sp?) but do when attaching binding.
Crafting is my happy place

I'm medium I think.  The only thing I put my foot down for is curtains when I would use the top speed.  If I am sewing something intricate I may do one stitch at a time.  I stop (or slow down) and start for pins.
My current machine is a bit annoying because you have to go into the menu to set the top speed.  On my previous machine (a 'lesser' Pfaff) it had a useful manual slider and also a greater speed range.
Life's too short for ironing.

All of my machines (vintage and one early electronic) are regulated by pressure on the foot pedal, not numbers on a dial.  For really intricate bits is very slow, or even one stitch at a time, for curves it gets a bit faster and for longer straight bits fairly fast.  For FMQ, once I' in the flow, it can go very fast.
Brenda.  My machines are: Corona, a 1953 Singer 201K-3, Caroline, a 1940 Singer 201K-3, Thirza, 1949 Singer 221K, Azilia, 1957 Singer 201K-MK2 and Vera, a Husqvarna 350 SewEasy about 20 years old. Also Bernina 1150 overlocker and Elna 444 Coverstitcher.

I’m pretty much as fast as possible. My machine has a sliding scale for speed and it’s almost always at the fastest, except for FMQ when I slow it slightly to about 3/4. I rarely pin either. Only when I’m sandwiching a quilt obviously ( pin, pin, pin!) or when making bags etc .

I think I’m a Medium Missy,

There is nothing medium about being a Missy or a Missie

I'm a Dependent Demelza;  my speed is dependent on what I am sewing.  Straight lines and I'm full throttle.  Anything that it a bit tricky and I slow that machine down.

I will not be dictated to by a machine, I control my own speed with the foot pedal, and it depends what I'm sewing.
