I need an idea for wording.

I need an idea for wording.
« on: August 09, 2023, 13:43:15 PM »
My nephew Scott & his wife are expecting a baby girl in a few weeks.  I've already got the quilt near done.  But I have enough fabric to make a little pillow.

I want to make a support pillow for the new mom & dad to use when holding the baby on their laps. I would like to embroider something on it, to indicate its use, but I'm just not quite sure what would work. Keep in mind that I can do a 4" x 4" area. Any suggestions would be welcome.

A lovely idea. Maybe something simple like ‘Sweet dreams’ .

Or ‘ to see her is to love her’ - it’s from a poem by my countryman  :D

"cuddles" ?
'Jill' of many aspects of sewing, "Mistress" of few.

This is very sweet, but I will never get it into a 4” x 4” space legibly.

Just the first line could work!

In fact it does!  With a little thought and a look at it in my embroidery software, I decided to go ahead with it. It's stitching out now.  Thanks @Sheilago

It’s all sewn. I still need to put on the snaps & get a pillow form, but here it is;

@Sheilago I should mention that my husband, though born in Canada, is of Scottish ancestry. He has been to your town, many years ago.
