I haven't thought about Christmas makes yet, but if you do make things they need to be started around now, if not earlier.

I would like to do some table mats, but they'll me fairly simple machine done ones.
You must have a lot of patience to hand sew and quilt things! @Nerys

I'll be doing quilt blocks on my embroidery machine. I should have already started but summer got in the way. Any day now though..... :P
So many beers, so little time.

Christmas tree stand cover. Tree was new last year and didn't realise it would look  better with a foot.
I have e the measurements.

I may make some table mats or  mug rugs depending on time

I’ve just started on quilted Christmas stockings. I often make these for babies of friends born during the year, but this year a friend has asked me to make 6, plus one for a dog, so I thought I’d best start early. The first one of the year always takes the longest as I try to remember what I’m doing!

This is the front of the one for her new granddaughter , but the rest are for adults. I put fleece cuffs on with names embroidered on the cuff- probably the most tricky part.

I’ve now made 10 Christmas stockings, so I think that should be almost them all for this year. 6 were requested by one friend and then I’ve made another 4 to give as gifts. The simple one is for a dog.  :woof:
Next I’ll start on my Christmas gift bags  :D

I have three Christmas stockings to make for my DS's 1yr twins and DD's 1yr son. I've ordered the panels and plain red fabric.
That should be  the last ( I hope).
A day without sewing is a day wasted.

I love making them @Starryfish , but perhaps 10 this year was a little too many. The trickiest bit is embroidering the names free hand- I’m always worried I’ll make a mistake on the last letter! I always put the name on before attaching the cuff, but even so, if it’s a long name,it’s  a pain to start again.
