If anyone is able to get to Rochester Cathedral by 3rd September they have a stunning display of large embroideries depicting the creation and the garden of Eden.

The bog oak table will be there until next March.

I can highly recommend this - saw it with a group of sewing friends at Bury St Edmunds Cathedral. We have not one religious bone between us, but the imagination and skill levels were second to none!
I have learnt by my mistakes: Sewing machines now are Bernina 720, Bernina 1008, Bernina 801 from 1981, Brother overlocker, ancient but works well

So Chic

We're planning to visit but it all depends on when the engineer finishes installing our new boiler and water tank.
So Chic
Bernina Artista 630, Bernina 800DL, Janome Cover Pro 1000CP and an elderly Singer Touch & Sew 720G as a back up

It is touring the country.  A friend saw in in Bath Abbey a couple of months ago.

Scroll down for free pdf about the making process.

I too missed my local exhibition but can plan a visit/weekend away around a couple of venues.

@classical retro Thank you for the .pdf link, there's as much sewing info in that as in in the £20 book!

Thanks too for the download/link - very informative.  I had heard a rumour that she used a Sweet Sixteen long arm quilter, and indeed, she does! I did wonder how she sewed it!
