Bernina 550QE plus loads of accessories £700 Now Sold

[ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]     [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]    I have a 550QE with walking feet and BSR, it is about 13 years old and has been lightly used with a total sewing time of 62 hours- mainly for the BSR.
It was serviced 2 months ago.
It comes with all it's original accessories and box

Slide on table and seam guide

Feet which came with the machine at purchase are:
#1 Reverse pattern foot
#3 Buttonhole foot with slide
#4 zipper foot
#5 blind stitch foot
#20 open embroidery foot
#37 patchwork foot
#42 BSR foot with 3 feet
#50 walking foot with 3 soles

The extra feet are:
#0 zz foot with slit in the front
#10 edge stitch foot
#12C cording foot (designed for 9mm machine but works a treat)
#61 rolled hem foot
#24 open toe FM embroidery foot
#29 quilting foot (wide plastic)
#43 couching foot
#83 circular embroidery attachment
I include if required the extra length knee lift for use with a Horn cabinet
Other things of note
The machine came with a zip up pouch for the accessories but I found this cumbersome and bought a little thing which fits on the back of the machine when not in use. (it only has one door because the engineer broke it when PAT testing.) My daughter has just moved back in with 8 years of stuff plus all her party entertainer things. I know the zip up pouch is somewhere but cannot find it at present but will post to buyer when I find it.)
There are a few damp marks on the inside of the carry bag, from when we had a damp problem from our chimney breast and the empty bag was stored there. It doesn’t smell or anything.
I would prefer collection and live near Southampton.t am travelling to Kent in a couple of weeks so could arrange a rendevous somewhere inbetween.
I would like £700 please

It does look so cute!
I keep thinking I would like to try a Bernina and this looks very nice.  I'm in Kent too!
I would have to sell one of mine if I got this though.
Hmm...

It is like tetris isn't it, I am wanting a straight stitch only machine hence the need to sell the Bernina.

Where in Kent are you?

I'm in Faversham.
If you're looking for a straight stitch machine the Janome HD9 is lovely.
Will the Bernina go through thickish fabrics?
I looked it up online and was surprised to see it said it can handle heavyweight stuff but not good for cotton!

The Bernina can easily handle heavy fabrics and I have never had problems sewing cotton - so I don't understand that report.

Amazingly, I am staying at Mount Efraim so really close to Faversham!!

If you are interested we could zoom/facetime and I could demonstrate it for you.

I have looked at the HD9 but  am looking now at the Juki TL 2300 straight stitch because I want to be able to drop the feed dogs.

Thanks for the offer @Clareew it would be good to see it and be able to ask questions of someone who has used it.

Don't suppose you know someone who would like a Janome 4950 QCP :P

I won't have time to do this until the weekend as this week is really busy, would that be OK?
I can PM my details if it is.

@Clareew @Kitten Nor do I. It's made for quilting so can sew through a fair thickness. I've had a 550QE for about 11 years, and had no problems with it, apart from when I managed to knock the timing out :embarrassed: It's a good machine, in my experience.

Thanks @Deafoldbat
I was confused and am sure the site was wrong but wondered if it meant the machine could not handle heavy stuff (did they have the headings the wrong way round).

@Kitten maybe they were trying to suggest you shouldn't get too ambitious and try to sew 12 blankets together or something! The 550 sews well, but like most machines you have to treat it with some respect. :)
